IRVINE, Calif. – August 27, 2008 –On Sept. 19, local residents and business leaders will have the opportunity to meet the candidates who are running for a mayoral or city council position in Irvine. The Irvine Chamber has invited Sukhee Kang and Christina Shea, both current city council members and running for the position of mayor, and all council candidates, including Larry Agran, Steven Choi, Beatrice Foster, Todd Gallinger Beth Krom, Stephen Johnson, Paris Merriam, Patrick Rodgers, Margaret Wakeham, and Ruby Young, to attend. During the Chamber’s Candidates Forum, each candidate will make an opening statement and answer prepared questions and impromptu questions from the audience. This is a great opportunity for business owners, professionals and the general public to address concerns about various state and national issues. The Candidates Forum is taking place at Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The cost to attend is $30 for Irvine Chamber members and $40 for non-members. In addition, table sponsorship opportunities at $350 for members and $450 for non-members.
