IRVINE, Calif. – July 24, 2012 – The Irvine Chamber of Commerce Irvine Global Markets Intelligence webinar series will feature Export Opportunities for U.S. Businesses: South Korea and The New Free Trade Agreement. The webinar will be presented by a U.S. Senior Commercial Officer from the U.S. Embassy – Seoul, South Korea. The webinar will air on Wednesday, August 1st, from 4pm-5pm PST.
The U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) put into effect March 15, 2012. On the day of implementation, nearly 80 percent of U.S. industrial goods exports to Korea are considered duty-free including aerospace equipment, agricultural equipment, auto parts, building products, chemicals, consumer goods, electrical equipment, environmental goods, travel goods, paper products, scientific equipment and shipping and transportation equipment.
