Proposition 19 - Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010
OPPOSE
Law does not provide a standard for what constitutes driving under the influence of marijuana & the workplace protections afforded marijuana users under this measure will prevent drug-free workplace requirements, thereby preventing local businesses and the public school system from getting billions of $ in federal contracts and grants.

Proposition 20 – Redistricting of Congressional Districts
SUPPORT
Provide fairer, common-sense districts that will make representatives more accountable.

Proposition 21 – Vehicle License Fee for State Parks and Wildlife Programs
OPPOSE
Imposes permanent car tax hike of $500 million per year. While touted for state parks, measure allows $100s of millions each year to be diverted to General Fund.

Proposition 22 – Ban on State Borrowing from Local Governments
SUPPORT
Closes loopholes that allow state politicians to take billions of dollars for General Fund uses that voters dedicated to local government or transportation.

Proposition 23 – California Jobs Initiative
SUPPORT
Suspends implementation of AB 32 until unemployment rate in Calif. is 5.5% or less for four consecutive quarters thereby saving Calif. taxpayers and consumers billions of $ and potentially saving over 1 Million jobs that would otherwise have been lost.

Proposition 24 - Repeals Recent Legislation that Would Allow Businesses to Lower Their Tax Liability
OPPOSE
It would hurt small businesses, tax job creation, send jobs OUT of California—costing us 144,000 jobs

Proposition 25 - Changes Legislative Vote Requirement to Pass Budget & Budget-Related Legislation from 2/3 to a Simple Majority. Retains 2/3 Vote Requirement for Taxes.
OPPOSE
Measure’s language likely allows taxes to be enacted as part of budget, thereby circumventing 2/3 vote requirement to raise taxes

Proposition 26 - Requires that Certain State and Local Fees Be Approved by 2/3 Vote
SUPPORT
Overturns a Supreme Court decision, which gutted voter-enacted protections, & thus ends politicians’ practice of imposing taxes by simple majority vote by calling them “fees.”

Proposition 27 - Eliminates State Commission on Redistricting.  Consolidates Authority for Redistricting with Elected Representatives
OPPOSE
Would repeal the voter-approved Citizens Redistricting Commission (Prop 11) which was enacted to reform the gerrymandering practices of the legislature.
