The Winner of the 2010 Irvine Business of the Year is

Hoag Hospital Irvine

Mayor Suhkee Kang and Massis Chahbazian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, presented the Business of the Year award to Hoag Hospital Irvine.

The award is given to a company in Irvine who has gone above and beyond to enrich the Irvine community.  Hoag Hospital Irvine is extremely active with community wide events, such as Relay for Life, the City of Irvine’s Great Skate, Mariners Health Fair, and Child Safety Day.  During national Heart Month they held free health screenings at Irvine Hospital and Regent Point.

Hoag Hospital Irvine has also facilitated over 30 community education classes, reaching over 500 people, which explore topics such as Women’s health, cardiology, and Alzheimer’s.  They have recently dedicated two walls at their new Irvine facility to recognize individuals and corporations committed to supporting the health and well being of youth.  All donations for the wall are being matched and go to the support of school nursing services and health care in the Irvine Unified School District.
