Filled with history and meaning, the Jim Ellis Memorial Golf Classic, hosted by the Irvine Chamber, brings together business, people and the love of golf. An all-day event, there is time for plenty of merry-making, amicable rivalries and lively entertainment. Clearly one of the most beloved Chamber events, this annual tournament has been drawing a sizeable crowd since 1982.
But more than just business or relaxation, the Jim Ellis Memorial Golf Classic is about giving back. Each year, this event serves as a fundraiser for local charities. For the 2008 golf tournament, a portion of the proceeds was donated to the Lt. Col. Thomas U. Wall Scholarship Fund.
The next Jim Ellis Memorial Golf Classic will be held on May 19, 2010 at Oak Creek Golf Club. Check back for registration information.
