Our History
Our history dates back to 1958 when Miles “Lowell” Edwards partnered with Dr. Albert Starr to develop the world’s first replacement heart valve. This was the catalyst for developing many life-saving and enhancing technologies that have transformed patient care and kept Edwards at the forefront of innovation. Now, more than 50 years later, Edwards has grown into a global company with a presence in approximately 100 countries and more than 7,000 employees around the world.
