Irvine Chamber - Lt. Col. Thomas U. Wall Scholarship Fund / Building Leaders for Tomorrow's Business Community
Before his passing in 2006, Tom Wall established a Lt. Col. Thomas U. Wall Scholarship Fund at the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.
The late Tom Wall was a past chairman of the Irvine Valley College Foundation and the Irvine Chamber. He completed a distinguished 20-year military career with more than 1,000 combat missions flown in Vietnam. A civic-minded individual, he also understood the meaning of courage, pride and honor. Those who knew Wall were inspired by his enthusiasm for life and his generosity.
Through his generosity, an endowment bearing his name has been created so that, in perpetuity, an annual scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student leader at Irvine Valley College. The scholarship is awarded to an applicant who is a U.S. resident, U. S. Military veteran, child or grandchild of a U.S. military veteran and is pursuing a career path in Science, Business or Law Enforcement at Irvine Valley College.
Past recipients of this scholarship include Jose Robles (2007) and Ruben Vargas (2006).
The 2008 recipients of the the scholarship are Kristin Doran and Jesse Reeves.
