Government Affairs Committee meets 1st Thursday of every month at 8:00 a.m.

The mission of the Government Affairs Committee is to educate the business community on federal, state and local legislative issues that will affect their business and the greater Irvine community. The Committee invites special guest speakers to educate and inform members of the Chamber on current affairs. The Committee works to develop strong relationships with elected officials so they can advocate on the Chamber’s public policy positions.

Legislative Affairs Committee meets the last Wednesday of every month at 7:45 a.m.

The mission of the Legislative Affairs Committee is to research and review political issues and bills/legislation that will potentially affect the local business community. The Chamber actively educates its members and the larger business community about these issues and bills/legislation that directly affect them. The Committee also has the ability to support or oppose any bills/legislation.

Emerging Professionals Advisory Council  meets monthly on the first Friday at 11:00 a.m.

The mission of the Emerging Professionals is to educate and develop young individuals to become strong corporate, civic and non-profit business leaders through promoting purposeful relationships within the Irvine community. The Committee is tasked with developing and scheduling specific monthly events, coordinating quarterly seminar programs, and facilitating the partnership with local non-profit organizations.

Economic Vitality Council meets 4 times a year. Next meeting January 12, 2016.

The purpose of the Economic Vitality Council is to empower the Chamber’s ability of influencing Irvine’s capacity to lead in a global economy by nurturing new businesses and improving business retention. Through this the Chamber encourages expansion and growth while helping to stabilize and energize start-ups and entrepreneurships, facilitating and expanding international market opportunities, and cultivating a collaborative workforce development platform that fuels our future.

Members are encouraged to participate in one or more of the following time-dated, results-driven Task Forces that will be assembled within two priority Committees of the Economic Vitality Council:

    • Business Attraction & Retention
    • Economic & Workforce Development
    • International Development

Membership Services

Ambassadors meets monthly on the fourth Thursday at 7:45 a.m.

The mission of the Ambassadors Group is to actively promote and represent the Irvine Chamber of Commerce in the business community. The committee orients new members with the Chamber benefits, helps existing members remain active and involved, and refers prospective members through appropriate channels.
